Equity release from BTL properties

Buy-to-let | First charge | Flats | Coventry

Client’s circumstances: Two professional sisters wanted to release equity from their two tenanted investment properties, owned in an SPV and located in Coventry, East Midlands.

LandlordInvest’s service: LandlordInvest provided a first charge bridging loan of £95,722, with a loan term of 24 months at 46.7% LTV, secured over both investment properties.

The result: The loan allowed the clients to release equity from the investment properties to grow their property portfolio further. However, the clients were unable to repay LandlordInvest’s loan in the 24-month loan term due to an unsuccessful refinancing attempt with a bank. Keeping the clients’ circumstances in mind, LandlordInvest allowed for a 6-month loan extension to provide them with time to find another mainstream lender to refinance their loan.
